German Cockroaches Video Sydney

A video about German Cockroaches and cockroach pest control Sydney by Micropest Pest Control. This video talks about how to get rid of German cockroaches by using Maxforce Gold Gel, which is a very palatable food that is placed around strategic areas around kitchens and bathrooms in both domestic and commercial situations. The entire process takes about a month as the eggs hatch intermittently over this period of time. The treatment is safe and environmentally friendly.

Gerard:

Hello, my name's Gerard from Micropest Pest Control. In the sunny city of Sydney, it's a Sunday morning, I've got an urgent call out for some German Cockroaches.

Captioned:

German cockroaches life span is approx. 15 weeks.

Incubation of their egg capsules approx 15 to 30 days.

A single female can produce around 20,000 offspring a year.

Prolific breeders.

Gerard:

They are a pain in the ass. They breed prolifically and they live in places where they're close to their food source: mainly the kitchen. People try spraying them to no avail. The problem with German Cockroaches is that they breed prolifically, they lay plenty of eggs, so when you spray, yeah, you'll kill some of the adults, but then the eggs hatch and the babies will come out and it starts all over again. And the smart German Cockroaches, they can detect the spray, so you never spray the German Cockroach. They can actually detect the spray and then they'll start radiating out from where they usually live and start living in your bedroom, in your bathroom, instead of where they usually live, which is in the kitchen near your food source. So never spray German Cockroaches.

Unfortunately, you've got to bite the bullet and get a professional out. What we do is we stick a gel around strategic areas around the kitchen. The German Cockroaches, they eat it and German Cockroaches are very promiscuous. Every night they have these big, ragey parties and they spread the gel - once one cockroach eats the gel, they'll spread it to another cockroach through their body parts - or their mouth parts, therefore killing the other cockroaches. They pass it around. And when a German Cockroach dies, they cannibalize each other, and that's another way they ingest the treatment.

Generally speaking, to be sure it's a month process, so we put down the gel, the adults eat it, they die, the babies hatch, it all depends on the weather - how warm it is over the next two to three weeks and when they hatch, they'll eat the treatment and they'll die. So it's around a month process.

We go to Kirabilli now, which is very high density living.

Now, people think if they've got cockroaches, they're really dirty - it's not the case with German Cockroaches. Sometimes it is. Some of the restaurants I've seen would make your skin crawl, but generally speaking, you'll go to the shops or a takeaway bar or something like that and you'll purchase some groceries and the cockroach eggs are in the groceries, or they're in the takeaway pizza box, or takeaway food, or whatever the case may be. It's not any one particular restaurant, and you'll bring them home and they'll just start breeding at home. So they just don't appear because you've got a dirty kitchen or anything - it's a fallacy - don't believe it. So if you want to make sure that you don't have any issues with German Cockroaches, what I suggest you do if you go shopping, just check out the groceries outside and make sure that there's no little babies running around in the packaging.

German Cockroaches, Maxforce cockroach Gel. Just put it in strategic areas around the kitchen: behind the refrigerator, hinges of the cabinets, underneath the hot water jack, behind the microwave, underneath the coffee machines, and around the outside edges of the dishwasher. It's all fairly easy, it comes with a syringe.

German Cockroaches, they like to hang around the hinges. Underneath the jack. They love it underneath the jack because it's nice and hot. It's warm. Any warm area. Electrical devices, they love it. Dishwashers. Around the edges of the dishwasher. Underneath the sinks. Coffee machines. Unfortunately, you've got to fry this coffee machine out in the pest control track. It's like a Teflon, this thing. I've put some behind here, just after all the cockroaches are gone, wash it away. Okay?
